We are the United Kingdom's longest established scaffolding refurbishment & repair company.

In 1970 with a background in Mechanical Engineering Draughts-manship and a period in Industrial Scaffolding, Bill Pinkney, in collaboration with J. Bigwood and Sons designed and built the original Scaffolding Tube Reeler Straightening Machine. Having secured the machine to a trailer he started the first mobile tube straightening service with four units covering the U.K.

In 1986 he was joined by his son Giles who diversified the business into Kwikstage repairs. Initially this was on a mobile basis and therefore limited in its scope. However, in 1991 Giles opened a centre in Manchester, where the entire refurbishment process i.e. shotblasting, inspecting, repair and paint, could be undertaken.

In order to be more conveniently situated for their customers, the majority being Scottish, the business was relocated to Glasgow in 1997. It is here where they remain and where they value the custom of Scotland's largest scaffolding companies.
